Inch, the dog at the beginning of our story.
Inch brought us together as a more formal Team, from a collection of people who had been working together for years in one way or another. Skinny, heart-worm and hookworm-infested, with nasty skin lesions and some hard-learned defensive behaviors, Inch became an icon for us, the example of not only the hardships so many dogs have to contend with, but also of the hope that dedicated hearts can bring to a sad situation.
Inch is now living healthy, happy, and loved with his family in Canada.
